Minecraft Bedwars · ArchMC

Hey, I’m Kaushal Devarasetty. Gamer first, front-end developer second: I made the top 10 of ArchMC’s 4v4 Bedwars leaderboard, and I’m learning to build clean, responsive sites like this one.

Off the server

Away from the bed I'm defending, I'm an Indian high-school student living in Australia, with a soft spot for science, chess and badminton.

Fair warning: my gaming setup is the floor and my mouse came from an office. The top 10 happened anyway.

Bedwars on ArchMC

A personal best on a public Minecraft server, earned in my own time. Not a pro team, not an esports contract, just a lot of beds broken and defended.

Build a bed defence

Every Bedwars game starts the same way: wrap your bed in blocks before someone comes for it. I made this to work out how long a defence really holds. Stack up to five layers and see the time with bare hands, with tools, and how much TNT it takes.

Cross-section · 3 layers
Bare hands
19.2 s
Punching straight down, one block per layer
With tools
1.25 s
Diamond tier, no enchants, best tool per block
TNT
2 TNT
8 s of fuses (4 s each), one after another
01Outer layer

Hand 1.2 sShears 0.25 sBlast resistance 0.8

02Middle layer

Hand 3 sDiamond axe 0.4 sBlast resistance 3

03Inner layer (touching the bed)

Hand 15 sDiamond pickaxe 0.6 sBlast resistance 9

Tool tier (pickaxe and axe)
Efficiency enchant

Vanilla Java Edition numbers: block hardness and blast resistance, a 4 second TNT fuse, and an average-strength blast placed right against the defence. Shears are used on wool. ArchMC can tweak enchants and explosions, so treat it as a guide, not gospel.

Skills & tools

I write clean, responsive front-end code with HTML and CSS, design in Figma and use GitHub every day. Arduino and Python are what I'm learning right now.
